Story of a Weekend

Good morning

Dave's gone now. It was a good visit.

In church yesterday, someone said to him, "I'm sorry, is it Ken?" ahh! lol "No, I'm David." And as if she didn't feel bad enough as it was, Robin chimes in, "Just wait another 27 days!" lol Oh, man. Dave wouldn't care though, he knows all about Ken.

After church, we drove to Toronto so that he could see the Toronto Temple.

The gates were closed, so we just walked around them which is too bad b/c the grounds are just beautiful.

Dave asked me what sort of girl I think he'll marry. I told him that his type is hard to narrow down. I asked him what he thought was his type. He said strong in the church... strong in the church. Then decided he didn't have a real 'type' but when he found her, he'd know it- that it would be like coming home.

After the temple, we drove home and saw the Toronto skyline on the way.

After that, we went to see my old house, out in the country. That was more for the purpose of a Sunday drive, than anything else. We talked the whole way there and back.

After that, we headed to Robin's house for the YSA BBQ. People there included:

Ian, Andrea, Ted, the Elders, the Sisters, a couple of oriental girls that I didn't know, Terri-Lynn & her daughter, Robin, Dan R., Dan O., Ryan, Hilary, Joey, and I think that's about it.

The food was really good. I hadn't eaten anything all day. (btw. I weighed 133 Sunday). Hilary made some chocolate cookies from scratch and I ate 3 of those. I had a hamburgar on a purple bun! (I think they were by wonderbread, if anyone's interested ;) I also had a bit of a couple of salads- potato & noodle. I had some baby carrots & some cucumber slices, 2 glasses of punch, a piece of garlic bread, a bit of apple cobbler (fresh from the oven & wonderful!), and a bit of ice cream with that.

We came home after eating and visiting. We were both pretty tired & basically spent the rest of the evening lying around on the couch. Eventually Brandon decided we should watch Charly & started that, so we watched it.

Later, our dishwasher started leaking and my mom asked Dave if he knew anything about dishwashers. Sure enough, I find out he spent a couple of years w/ a maintenance job, fixing dishwashers and things. So, he ends up fiddling with the dishwasher for at least an hour, with me holding the trouble light, my mom trying to help him, and Amber and Brandon as an audience.

Amber noticed my jeans & asked what size they were. She said she could probably wear them & I said she could anytime, as long as she'd let me wear her Parasucos that I like so much. We left it at that.

Today I am wearing those jeans. Such a boost for Amber's pants to fit me.

When Dave was done with that, we sat on the couch some more & talked 'til late ('er... early) and we went to sleep. We talk about the most random things. He's almost like a girl-friend would be (and I mean that in a purely platonic way), except that he's a guy and he'll flirt a little.

This morning we went to WalMart to return a belt that he bought that was too big for him. Then we went to the mall b/c he wanted to look at the ALDO store for a pair of shoes that he wants. Dave has too many shoes for his own good. lol But whatever.

Then we went back to my place, my dad loaded him up with water, fruit, and granola bars, we hugged and said goodbye.

We plan to meet up again in Palmyra, for the Hill Cumorah Pageant.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I weigh 132lbs today.
