short hair?

Breakfast with Larbi was fun.
I told him about my hair-dying experience (that colour, by the way, is gone now) and he was like, "Awh, but no fun hair?" (He refers to shorter hair as "fun hair" and we once spent a breakfast months ago, discussing what cut my hair would look best in!) He thinks I should cut it.
I got an email from Ken today. I sent him a picture of my hair dyed. He said, and I quote,
"Oh ya, I liked your pictures last week. Just one question - have you thought about cutting your hair shorter? I know I´ve asked you that many times, but maybe you could seriously consider it now :) I think you would look good personally and it can always grow back, but maybe not to where you have it right now, it is pretty long. Just a thought ;)"So, that makes it very apparent that Ken thinks it would look better shorter.
Long hair is "me"... I dunno.
This weekend, Robin & Sarah were saying that it would look nice a couple of inches shorter, with an inch or two of layers.
That's 3 occasions in a short time, with people telling me I should change my hair (in a shorter way).
And yet, there are those who get all sentimental & look shocked at the idea and tell me to never cut my hair because it's beautiful.
I'm torn.
I have considered (for a long time), doing what Robin & Sarah suggested.
And maybe I will. But not now.
