a lot of what I'm up to + today's intake

I need to start updating my real journal. It's so much easier and quicker to write on the computer, but I love to have tangible books with my own writing in them. (which would explain the large rubbermade container at the back of my closet, filled with old journals)

Mother's Day.

I made scrambled eggs, buttered toast, and mixed freshly cut strawberries in with some strawberry yogurt, and a glass of orange juice on a tray for my mom. Breakfast-in-Bed is tradition in our home. Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Birthdays.

Church.

Paul got his mission call. He's going to Haiti!!! I'm excited for him.

We've made plans to go to Zion's Camp, 2 weeks from now. It runs from the 23rd to the 25th and is in Palmyra, New York. Ryan's going to drive me, Hilary, Robin, and Dan. Sarah will get a ride with some of her friends from Hamilton.

Ken gets to call home today, so his family will get to talk to him- lucky them ;) Missionaries are gone for two years and only get to call home 2x/year. Mother's Day and Christmas. There will be a lot of excited families around the world today.

I felt happy with my body today. I think I looked nice. I wore my black dress- it's such a neat dress & I tend to get a lot of compliments when I wear it. It's weird how easily and quickly I can go from feeling good about my body, to detesting it.

I made my mother a card for mother's day and drew a rose on the front. After looking at others' art online, I'm really in a drawing mood. I drew another flower today, in church (I was inspired by the lady's dress in front of me ;) I'd like to draw another fairie sometime soon... We'll see if I get around to it.

I'll be finishing up my information for the art gallery tomorrow.

I'll also try and get things arranged in my room- I have a plan of how I want things arranged and organized but I keep getting busy with other things, so it's going slowly.

I need to find out when Larbi is coming home. I want to have the bunch of us who used to hang out in high school together at my house for a BBQ/trampoline/badminton/etc. party when he comes back. I talked to Lisa the other day. She said that someone in her family rented "The Other Side of Heaven" the other day and it made her think of me. (It's all about someone's mission to Tonga).

Well, I'm baking cookies for my dad, so I better go and check on them.
