update on this life of mine

05-10-03 - 3:40 p.m.

The time has come for me to spill all of the thoughts and information that have been whirling through my brain.

It will most likely emerge as a random spilling of not-so-connected facts and thoughts, so brace yourself! ;)

Last night, we went to Kitchener for a dance. I went to the mall with Punam before hand and forgot to meet everyone to drive there!!! (DUH!) We saw Jimmy in the mall and chatted until I realized I was supposed to be at Dan's house 4 minutes ago.

I picked Andrea up from work & we drove there together, in my car. All worked out. We helped set up the decorations and the refreshments. It was great. Robin did an awesome job putting it together.

It was bizarre to be back in Kitchener, seeing all of the old people from way back. Will was there. He's engaged to Sarah (whose apartment I'll be living in next year b/c she'll be moved out & married- but I don't know her, only of her). Jastin was there, too. And Jon, back from his mission in France (Jon's one of Ken's cousins). Let's see... oh yes, and the Lorch boy whose name I have lost for some reason. He's back from his mission, too. I can't remember where he went on his.

The strangest part about the evening was seeing Christina (who I used to babysit) and Jodie (another of Ken's cousins) who was in Young Women's when I was in the Young Women's Presidency in our ward... and Katie (Jon's younger sister). So weird, because to me they are little, but there they were, at a YSA function.

Robin left the juice at home (45 min. away), so Dan & I set out in search for a grocery store. We went to one that was 10 minutes away... but it took us an HOUR to find it! SOOO unfortunate. lol

The dance was a lot of fun. I was glad that Andrea got along with Robin & Sarah and all went well with that. Esau seems to have some sort of a crush or interest in me. He's 23. He's spanish & can spanish dance awesomely (not a word, I know).

Ken's dad was there for a bit at the beginning and he came over to say hi and we side-hugged ;)

Let's see... what else...

Oh yes, earlier that day, I tried on little sister, Amber, 's jeans and THEY FIT!!!! I was shocked. I thought she was WAY thinner than I am! Turns out that the fact that her jeans are a smaller size has only to do with the fact that she wears her clothes a lot tighter than I do! What a boost!

I guess that's about it for yesterday.

As for today,

I tried to help my mom out all day b/c she is sooo sick. I took Brandon across town to a birthday party after taking him to the mall to pick out a card. Then I went grocery shopping. That's all I've done today, but it seemed to take quite a while!

Oh, the job that I want at the art gallery... I talked to a lady on the phone yesterday, about it. I'm going to send in some information about myself and my experience with art and with working with kids, to give her an idea of my qualifications for the job. I'm confident that I have what they're looking for. I sure hope I get the job-it would be SO MUCH BETTER than working at the furniture store again! I'll keep you posted on that. I've got to have it in by Wednesday. I think I'll take it in on Tuesday (they're closed Monday).
